Webtrends and InetAsia Launch Managed Web Analytics Service

Site traffic analysis firm Webtrends has partnered with Internet consultancy InetAsia to launch a new managed web analytics service in Asia Pacific.

James McDermottBased in Hong Kong, the new Webtrends Managed Service (WMS) offers a data collection environment, combined with web analytics, customer reporting, training and digital marketing consultancy.

WMS requires no hardware purchase or internal management resources to run the programme. Through tracking of web site behaviour and business and technical consultation, the firms say the service generates 80% 'more meaningful web analytics reports than traditional web server log files'.

Customers will receive a monthly update of InetAsia's Webtrends Summary Report, which will highlight key statistics and recommendations.

'Managed services are gaining strong traction globally,' stated Webtrends VP Partnerships James McDermott. 'Without having to worry about IT investments and hardware strategy, our customers will be more focused on getting better returns from their online and web based marketing campaigns.'

InetAsia CEO Gregory Smyth said that clients have been very enthusiastic about the managed service. 'They are looking for reliable business intelligence, and the Internet marketing expertise to interpret it, without having to develop the skills in-house,' he added.
