Gartner Veteran to Head GMC Analytics

Communications software firm GMC Software Technology has promoted Peter Müller to the position of President of its new subsidiary GMC Analytics.

Its new GMC Analytics division combines web surveys and online 'infotainment' backed by psychographic/psychological analysis. This is used to develop tools which the firm says helps client create campaigns where consumers are more likely to disclose their preferences.

GMC Software Technology CEO René Müller commented on the launch: 'Traditional data analytics, mining tools and processes fall short of meeting today's requirements, that's why we formed GMC Analytics, powered by leading edge market research techniques from the ISG Institute in Switzerland.'

Müller spent the last 12 years at IT research firm Gartner, where he worked as MD of the firm's Swiss sales office. In addition, for the last two years, he lived in London and was responsible for Gartner sales in Asia Pacific and EMEA.
