Web site engagement metrics specialist Mixpanel has won $500,000 in seed funding from two prominent investors.
The company tracks how users engage with web sites in real-time, with a highly customisable output and an advanced Funnel Analysis tool to aid conversion tracking. It claims its platform-independent offer is 'the only service' that can track customer retention and tell them 'how long it takes their users to come back again.'
According to www.venturebeat.com , the backers are PayPal and Slide co-founder/founder Max Levchin, and Bebo co-founder Michael Birch, a pairing described by Mixpanel's co-founder Suhail Doshi as 'metrics guys - entrepreneurs who used analytics to build the companies that they've really made successful.'
