Clarabridge Wins New Investment

May 7 2010

Text analytics firm Clarabridge has secured $4.33m in a mixed securities offering from existing investors plus its recent Board appointee Sanju Bansal, COO of MicroStrategy.

CEO Sid Banerjee says the funds mean his firm can 'continue to pursue aggressive growth in sales and marketing, technology enhancement, and partner development functions.'

Clarabridge has seen rapid take-up of its Enterprise solution, delivered either as a standalone software product or via online SaaS, and has recently added the industry's first self-service offering, aimed at small firms.

Don Rainey, Clarabridge board member and general partner at Grotech Ventures, says the firm is 'strategically positioned to take advantage of what we believe is the beginning of a dramatic upswing in demand for text analytics solutions'. He adds: 'We believe this is driven by the renewed understanding that companies must listen to the voice of customer if they want to remain competitive.'
