International Work Fuels Growth of Truth

UK-based insight consultancy Truth is anticipating a 40% year-on-year sales increase to £7m for 2010, mostly as a result of an increase in international assignments.

Andy DexterTruth was launched in 2007 by Andy Dexter, former CEO of Incepta Marketing Intelligence, to offer 'maximum insight, minimum data' as a complement to mainstream marketing research.

The agency - which now has a headcount of 40 - recently opened its first overseas office, in New York. Truth is now preparing to establish a presence in Asia in 2011.

Dexter says that certain types of consultancy projects have recently shown very large increases. These include segmentation, brand positioning, cultural trends, and innovation projects, which he says have been growing particularly strongly, perhaps reflecting clients' needs for 'differentiation in an increasingly competitive economic environment'.

'We have continued to grow rapidly and organically and many of our key clients are multinationals,' says Dexter. 'It is significant that the proportion of international consultancy assignments has grown particularly fast, and now constitutes over half our business.'
