NatMag Hires Muirhead to Lead Insight Initiative

In the UK, the National Magazine Company (NatMag) has recruited Asos exec Aida Muirhead for its newly created role of Research and Insight Director, responsible for creating, developing and managing its centralised insight team.

Aida MuirheadNatMag, the UK arm of US publishing giant Hearst Corporation, currently publishes 20 luxury consumer magazine titles, including Good Housekeeping, Country Living, Harper's Bazaar, Esquire and Cosmopolitan.

Muirhead joins from online fashion retailer Asos, where as Head of Customer Insight she developed and managed a team which worked across brand strategy and customer segmentation.

Before this, she spent 13 years at Emap, latterly as Head of Research; and served as Research Manager at Initiative Media.

In her new role, Muirhead will work in partnership with NatMag's publishing directors to develop an overview of the company's customers and brands. 'Aida's role will enable us to drive further our strategy which puts the customer at the very heart of everything we do,' states Group Circulation and Marketing Director Sharon Douglas. 'With her commercial digital insight, we will be able to increase the pace of change in this growing area.'
