GfK Hires Villarreal to Head Multicultural Research

GfK Custom Research North America has appointed Angelina Villarreal as Vice President, Multicultural Research, working on strategies for the Hispanic, Asian-American and African-American consumer segments.

Angelina VillarrealHeadquartered in New York, the division has more than 700 employees based in the US and Canada.

Prior to joining, Villarreal - who is originally from Monterrey, Mexico - served as VP of Research at Creative Response and Research, where she led Hispanic market and multicultural consulting and research projects. Before this, she worked as VP of Research and Development at Safeco Insurance, where she established 'Voice of Customer' and 'Voice of Agent' research programs and the firm's first mystery shopping program.

'Angelina brings more than 18 years of experience in market research, with an extensive background in domestic and international research across a variety of industries,' states David Krajicek, Co-President, GfK Custom Research North America. Krajicek says the appointment will expand GfK Custom Research's core capabilities in qual and quant research within a multicultural context.
