Nielsen Promotes Finn for Top HR Post

In the US, Nielsen has promoted Mary Liz Finn to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer, to lead the firm's global human capital strategy, and oversee leadership development programs, compensation and benefits packages.

Finn joined Nielsen in 2007 to head the company's Global Leadership Development function and programs. Most recently, she served as the HR Leader for Nielsen's North American 'Buy' consumer purchase behavior segment.

Prior to joining, Finn worked at General Electric, where she held various senior HR leadership positions.

In her new role, she becomes a member of the firm's Executive Council, replacing Bob Llamas, who recently joined Univision as Chief HR Officer.

She reports to CEO David Calhoun, who comments: 'Mary Liz is a strong advocate of a global performance-based culture and leadership development and I look forward to her stewardship of these efforts so crucial to our company's success.'
