Forrester Enters AsiaPac with Springboard Acquisition

US-based technology researcher Forrester Research has acquired Asia Pacific-focused IT research and advisory services provider Springboard Research. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Springboard is headquartered in Singapore, with research centres in Australia, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, the UAE and the US.

Its 48 employees include 36 research professionals, and its entire leadership team will join Forrester, which plans to bolster its expanded presence in the Asia Pacific region with additional hires in core support positions.

'Springboard's research, data, and advisory products strengthen our offering for Vendor Strategy Professionals, helping them plan, market, and sell their global offerings,' explains Forrester's Chairman and CEO, George Colony. 'This acquisition deepens our knowledge of the Asia Pacific region, and it formalizes our entry into China.'

Springboard CEO Dane Anderson says his team is excited to become part of the Forrester brand, adding: 'The two companies share transparent, flexible cultures to ensure we produce top-quality research and provide differentiated advice to our clients.'
