uberVU Opens US HQ, Hires New Chief Exec

Social media analysis firm uberVU has established a North American corporate headquarters, where it has appointed technology business specialist Mark Pascarella as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Founded in 2008 in London, uberVU offers real-time tracking of comments across sites including Twitter and Facebook. Pascarella joins from metadata technology firm Gotuit where he served as President and CEO for eight years until its sale last year. Before this, he co-founded private investment company The Topol Group, which focused on seed-stage investments across technology, media and telecoms ventures. He began his career as an account exec with Procter & Gamble.

In his new role as a member of uberVU's Board of Directors and Chair of its executive committee, Pascarella will lead all aspects of the company's worldwide operations, while being responsible for setting its overall direction and strategy.

Commenting on his appointment, Pascarella said: 'I am looking forward to working with the founders, Vladimir, Dan, and Dragos and their driven and talented team, to help companies integrate social media across every part of their organization. Most businesses are looking for intelligent analytics designed to drive business decisions, and uberVU's SaaS platform provides that.'

The company's HQ is now located in the Kendall Square area of Cambridge, Massachusetts, while its offices in London and Bucharest will remain fully operational.
