Addis Becomes Joint Owner of Community Research

Former Opinion Leader researcher Rebecca Addis has become joint owner of Community Research - the specialist public sector agency founded by former ORC International Director Rachel Lopata. Addis takes up her new role in January.

Lopata set up Community Research in 2009, to offer full service research and engagement services, including the latest deliberative and collaborative techniques - from small-scale workshops and citizen juries to much larger-scale deliberative events.

From January, Addis (formerly Morris) joins the company permanently as a Director, having been there on a freelance basis for the past two years. She previously worked with Lopata at Opinion Leader, where she spent nearly nine years as Research Director, specializing in deliberative consultation with the public and stakeholders to inform policy development, while also leading on health sector research and gaining extensive experience of research among young and elderly people, and people with disabilities.

Before this, Addis worked at ORC International - also with Lopata - and as an Associate Director was responsible for managing several high-profile projects across the central government, housing, local authority and education sectors. Earlier in her career, she held research roles at the Hospitality Training Foundation, Euromonitor Publications, and at Hay Management Consultants.

Lopata says she and Addis are 'very excited' about working together to build on the company's offer.
