Geolocation and Language Enhancements for NM Incite

January 26 2012

Nielsen/McKinsey joint venture NM Incite has introduced the latest version of its BuzzMetrics Exchange, which features detection support for more than 50 languages, along with city-level geo-location capabilities.

Amit SethNM Incite was set up in 2010, to help companies use social media intelligence to drive business performance. Developed in partnership with social media intelligence platform uberVu, the BuzzMetrics Exchange provides a real-time platform offering monitoring, analytics, engagement and collaboration tools, to enable clients to directly engage with consumers who are talking about their brands online.

The tool's new interface includes a mapping feature to enable users to look at results by country, region and city, with a 'heat-map' tool showing the density of conversations by language and to break it down by various demographics, such as gender.

Explaining the reasons behind the upgrade, Amit Seth, EVP, Global Media Products at NM Incite, comments: 'Social media spans demographics and geography for a simple reason: it connects people, ideas and brands easily and universally.'
