ORC Introduces Strategic Intelligence Service in Asia

Customer and employee research specialist ORC International has rolled out its 'Strategic Intelligence' service in Asia, which combines primary and secondary research with a range of other data. The Singapore-based division is led by former Nielsen director Nigel Carey.

Nigel CareyFounded in 1938, ORC International has offices across the US, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region from where it offers primary and secondary research, advisory services, social analytics, omnibus services and expertise across a range of industries. Last summer, former parent company Infogroup sold ORC International to a group of the agency's senior managers.

The company's 'Strategic Intelligence' service integrates market research findings with secondary research, competitive intelligence, and the knowledge of industry experts.

Carey (pictured) will lead the team in Asia, having joined the company last November from Nielsen, and previously worked as a director at Synovate.

Brian Reuter, who is Global MD for the firm's Strategic Intelligence Division in Minneapolis, US, comments: 'We have had a long history and great success in integrating primary, secondary and competitive intelligence to provide greater insights for our clients' business challenges in the US, and are looking forward to producing similar successes for our clients in Asia.'

ORC International recently expanded in Asia with larger offices and additional staff in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
