New Research Head for Havas Asia Pac

Havas Media Asia Pacific has appointed econometric expert Naman Sharma, formerly of OMD and Carat, as its Head of Research and Analytics.

Naman SharmaHe joins with more than a dozen years of experience in the communications industry, most recently as head of Research and Strategy for media agency OMD West Africa. Sharma began his career at AC Nielsen India in 2001 and then moved to lead the research function at the Media Research Users Council before joining Prudential Insurance in an insight role which included econometric market modelling. Between 2005 and 2007 Sharma he combined the roles of Head of Research and Analytics at Carat Media and head of SPI, the econometric modelling arm of Aegis.

Based in Singapore, Sharma will now lead Havas Media's research and analytics discipline - he will also manage the deployment of the group's proprietary DSS Suite across Asia Pacific and the roll out of its Econometric Modelling function.

He reports to SK Biswas, Chief Strategy Officer, who comments: 'We are extremely fortunate to have found someone of Sharma's calibre to join the team. He has extensive experience in primary market research with a specialisation in large syndicated media researches. I have no doubt that he will prove to be a major asset not only for us but for our existing and prospective clients as well.'
