Central London and Wimbledon-based data collection specialist The Research House has appointed Laura Haxton-Wilde as Managing Director. She replaces Sue Maldonado, who remains with the firm's parent group Schlesinger Associates, as VP, Global Marketing.
Schlesinger, founded in 1966 and is based in Edison, NJ, acquired The Research House in 2005, to add to its portfolio of viewing facilities in the US. The group offers a range of qual services including focus groups, ethnographic/immersion research, web site usability and eye tracking studies; and quant services such as central location tests, in-store intercepts, mall interviewing and mystery shopping programs.
Prior to joining the group in 2006 to set up its first international field office, Haxton-Wilde (pictured) served as International Fieldwork Manager at GfK Healthcare (formerly NOP World Health), before which she was a Senior Field Executive at Viewpoint.
Commenting on her appointment CEO Steve Schlesinger said: 'Laura's appointment is instrumental in developing our UK capabilities. She will be dedicated to continuing to add value to our qualitative services, as well as meeting current and future research needs in our rapidly evolving research environment.'
