Targetbase Names New COO

October 15 2012

Omnicom-owned consumer intelligence and analytics agency Targetbase has appointed Billy Sewell as Chief Operating Officer, a role overseeing areas including technology, analytics and communications.

Billy SewellTargetbase offers expertise in database management and analysis, business intelligence, insight-driven communications and complete campaign design and deployment. In 2008, the company merged with Omnicom creative agency Claydon Heeley, and based the newly formed Targetbase Claydon Heeley at offices in London, from where it offers 'creative consumer science' services across Europe.

Prior to joining Targetbase, Sewell (pictured) ran a consulting practice for senior personnel at leading marketing service providers. Before this, he spent eight years at marketing services firm Epsilon, latterly as EVP, Commercial Services, and earlier as VP Marketing Service, responsible for evaluating market-related investments and measuring returns on investments made. He began his career in business consulting for Arthur Andersen, where he focused on developing sales force automation systems.

Targetbase CEO Mark Wright comments on Sewell's appointment: 'The complexity of our business has increased exponentially over the past five years, during which time, the digital age has made seamless integration between our core competencies a cost of entry. I felt in order to maintain our leadership position, I needed to strengthen our team at the leadership level.'
