Former P&G Marketer Buys AcuPOLL

November 6 2012

Former Procter & Gamble (P&G) Brand Manager Jeff Goldstein has acquired Cincinnati-based market research agency AcuPOLL, through his company RVG Acquisition and with help from an SBA loan. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jeff GoldsteinFounded in 1991, AcuPOLL's approach is used to assess, develop and introduce new product ideas, as well as advertising, packaging and promotions. The firm employs more than a dozen staff, and is led by former P&G marketer Jack Gordon, who plans to retire on completion of the sale.

Goldstein (pictured), who will become President once Gordon steps down, raised the funds for the transaction through a small business administration (SBA) program, in partnership with Huntington Bank.

Commenting on the deal, Goldstein said: 'I realized that if I could find a way to finance the deal, I could retain current employees and invest in R&D and marketing to grow the business. With the SBA acquisition loan, we were able to launch the new company and continue doing what it does best - helping companies innovate more successfully.'
