Aldata and EYC Merge to Form Symphony EYC

December 19 2012

Aldata and EYC - previously sister firms within the Symphony Technology Group - have merged to form a new company called Symphony EYC, which will offer big data customer insights across the retail sector.

Roy SimrellEYC's customer engagement analytics will now feed into Aldata software which helps clients optimize their strategies for retail assortment, merchandising and supply chain execution.

The new firm will be led by Aldata President and CEO Roy Simrell (pictured), who says Symphony EYC will serve those shoppers who access information anytime/anywhere, and make decisions on brands and purchases in real-time, online, and inside the store. He adds: 'Aldata and EYC are a natural fit for each other. Both companies live the same vision that the future of retailing is customer driven, and believe that to succeed retailers must get closer to their customers, so 'Engage Your Customers,' is the perfect message and name for our new company'.

EYC's current CEO Tom Buehlmann will become an advisory board member of Symphony EYC, while moving to parent company Symphony Technology Group to take up another executive role.
