Research Now Upgrades Mobile Platform

April 9 2013

Research Now Mobile has added multilingual capabilities to its research platform, allowing for surveys to be authored in more than 50 languages. A launch scheduler, a quota management system and improved location-based targeting also feature in the new upgrade.

Pala KuppusamyFormed last year following the acquisition of mobile research specialist iPinion, Research Now Mobile offers clients full survey functionality for custom qual and quant surveys.

CEO Pala Kuppusamy (pictured) comments: 'What we really wanted to create was a global platform that enables researchers to access respondents in all major markets across the world, and this requires both apps and surveys to be available in multiple languages to provide a better member experience. As we continue to add new languages to our mobile research platform, they will be incorporated into the app automatically without a need for updates.'

The language feature includes the ability to program in non-English scripts using English keyboards. Version 3.0 also includes a launch scheduler that enables multiple waves of the same study to be scheduled at pre-determined dates and times; and a multi-level nested quota management module that helps researchers reach targeted demographics with quotas based on the user response within the survey. Additionally, improvements have been made to the location-based targeting functionality, to enable clients to isolate panels and samples that meet certain criteria, which can then be applied to trigger survey invitations to respondents at desired locations.

Respondent samples can be generated from a pool across Research Now Mobile's panel, as well as from the parent company's worldwide online consumer and B2B panels. Researchers can also import third-party samples, and invite respondents from third-party lists to download the app with a mechanism which bypasses the registration process.
