Yoder Leaves Webtrends CEO Role

Online analytics pioneer Webtrends has named David Mitchell as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Alex Yoder who has left the company for reasons as yet unclear.

David MitchellPortland, Oregon-based Webtrends, which also has US offices in San Francisco and Seattle, along with international operations in the UK, Sweden and Australia, provides analytics tools across mobile, social media and web-enabled devices, to enable marketers to optimize their campaigns.

Yoder was promoted from his former role of VP of Sales to CEO in 2008, becoming the firm's fourth CEO in a year. Earlier today, a company spokesman told DRNO that Yoder is no longer with the company, adding: 'We wish Alex well and thank him for his passion and dedication to Webtrends'.

Mitchell (pictured) joins from mobile app start-up Spring Mobile Solutions, where he served as President and CEO. Prior to this he was President and CEO of Global 360, an enterprise BPM solutions provider, and COO of Software AG webMethods. Alongside his new role, he will continue in his position as Operating Partner at investment firm Francisco Partners.

Commenting on the announcement, Mitchell said he is looking forward to building on the innovation that Alex Yoder brought to the organization, adding: 'I'm honored to work with the Webtrends leadership team to enter the next phase of growth.'
