October 3 2013

Canadian market research software development firm Q-FI Solutions has launched a new DIY software tool called VID-OE, which enables users to integrate video recordings into web surveys, web sites and online communities.

Q-Fi Launches Video-Based Data Collection ToolThe Toronto-based firm, a part of online and telephone data collection agency The Logit Group, recently launched a beta version of new survey programming software called QuantiFi, which combines survey design and real-time reporting in one web application.

VID-OE is web-based and enables participants to record a video using the webcam on their computer. It can also be used to verify the identity of participants, obtain testimonials, conduct interviews, and to recruit and screen panelists and focus group participants. The tool's reporting module provides access to the resulting videos and organizes the captured recordings.

Chief Innovation Officer Rafael Mangra comments: 'We are excited to provide the research community and marketers with a powerful tool that can be easily integrated with existing systems and help users collect information to make crucial business decisions.'
