Sports broadcast measurement specialist Repucom has acquired Italian sports research agency Immagine & Sport for an undisclosed sum.
Milan-based Immagine & Sport provides a range of market research and media ROI analysis services, as well as target audience profiling. A partner of the Repucom-owned IFM Sports Group network for several years, the firm provides consultancy advice to sponsors and organisers of a variety of events, including the International Olympic Committee.
Following the acquisition, Immagine & Sport will be integrated into Repucom, rebranded as Repucom Italia, and led by MD Marco Nazzari.
Marcel Cordes (pictured), President Europe of REPUCOM, comments: 'We have had a close working relationship with Immagine & Sport in the area of media research for many years and it was a logical next step to integrate them into our group. Italy is a key market in global sports and I believe this move is a strong sign of our commitment there.'
