Nielsen Veteran Tom Markert Joins Research Now

Digital data collection specialist Research Now has appointed Nielsen veteran Tom Markert as EVP of Sales and Business Development for the Americas.

Tom MarkertMarkert (pictured) joins with more than 30 years' business and marketing experience. More than twenty of them were spent at Nielsen, where he held a number of positions including SVP of Client Services; President - Canada; Group CEO - Pacific; CMO - Asia Pacific; Global Chief Marketing and Client Services Officer; and President of ACNielsen Loyalty. He also served as CEO of Ipsos Loyalty Worldwide. More recently, he co-founded and served as CEO of full service marketing agency Digital Tailwind, prior to which he worked at Office Depot as SVP of Strategy and Innovation.

In his new role, Markert will lead Research Now's overall client development efforts across the Americas. He will report to MD of Americas John Rothwell, who comments: 'Tom's experience at some of today's largest corporations and leading industry providers of data and insights, coupled with his effective management of client facing teams, will be invaluable to our organization.'
