In the US, survey and panel management software specialist Kinesis Survey Technologies has announced a new technology partnership with mobile panel firm Paradigm Sample. The companies have worked together on various projects over the last five years. The new deal, which targets retailers and their research partners, will give Kinesis' panel clients more ways to monetize their property, making use of Paradigm's Ideashifters app; and covers mutual support and development, as well as integration of products.
Ideashifters includes check-in, barcode scanning, geolocation capture and trigger features, and is said to be ideal for tracking impulse purchases and instant consumables, and for building specialty panels based on purchase patterns. This ties in well with Kinesis' own developments - just a week ago, it enhanced its offer to add survey research options for users of in-store 'beaconing' for smartphones.
Kinesis CEO Leslie Townsend says the deal will provide 'an opportunity for researchers wanting to incorporate a custom white label mobile app into their solution arsenal, without the need to absorb product development and maintenance costs.'
Paradigm Sample Chief Eexec Cyrus Deyhimi comments: 'We look forward to leveraging this partnership as a platform around which to further the development of our respective mobile assets.'
