Tim Britton Leaves PwC to Join Springer Nature

Tim Britton has left his role as Head of Strategy & Transformation for PwC's r2i global data research and insight centre, to take up the position of Managing Director of the Open Research Group at academic publishing company Springer Nature.

Tim BrittonSpringer Nature was formed in 2015 through the merger of Nature Publishing Group, Palgrave Macmillan, Macmillan Education and Springer Science+Business Media. Britton (pictured) joins after working for consultancy PwC, leading strategy and transformation in its r2i research and insight centre. He had worked for YouGov for the prior eight years, before which he spent two spells at IFF Research, as a Director from 2000 to 2005, and then as MD from 2005 to 2007. Honor Mallon, Partner responsible for PwC's r2i research to insight activities, said the company is very sorry to be losing Britton, who will continue with r2i in a non-executive capacity, over the coming months.

In his new role, Britton replaces Sam Burridge, who left Springer Nature at the end of April. From today, he is responsible for the open research portfolio across the firm, and he will also join the Springer Nature Research Management Board.
