In the US, sports intelligence specialist STATS has promoted Brian Orefice to the role of Vice President of Global Operations, while Dennis Dougherty has been named VP of Marketing.
STATS combines its data platform with video analysis, sports content and research, player tracking through STATS SportVU, artificial intelligence and machine learning; while its AutoSTATS uses AI to collect sports data from any television broadcast. Last year, the firm expanded to Europe with the opening of an office in Limerick, Ireland.
Orefice joined in 2005 as Director of News and Operations, expanding that role to Head of Production for the Americas in 2016. In his new position, he will serve in a cross-functional capacity to generate operational efficiencies in STATS' global production centers, tracking processes and global goal setting. COO Mike Perez comments: 'Under Brian's management, STATS has created a self-sustaining production system that provides the fast and accurate information our clients expect. I know Brian will take STATS to new heights as VP of Global Operations'.
Dougherty has been with the company for four years as Marketing Communications Manager and the Head of Global Demand Generation. In his new role, Dougherty will run all marketing initiatives for STATS' global brand. Chief Revenue Officer Steve Xeller adds: 'Dennis demonstrates all the aspects of an exceptional marketing leader, including a deep understanding of our products, capabilities, marketplace, competitive landscape and clients' needs. I look forward to seeing how Dennis will continue to elevate our global brand and drive new opportunities for the company'.
