In the US, user experience (UX) insights company UserZoom has acquired NYC-based user research technology company Validately. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2013 by Steven Cohn, Validately recruits testers, launches tests and analyzes results for mobile app and desktop. Clients can either use their own customers or recruit from Validately's panel. With this acquisition, UserZoom says its customers will benefit from additional ways to collaborate across teams, as well as categorize and share 'in the moment' insights with teammates and stakeholders.
The deal adds to UserZoom's platform, which provides qual and quant UX insights to support product and design teams at every stage of product development. Client teams can test, measure and benchmark the user experience of 'any digital product, on any device', using insights sourced from more than 120 million global participants.
UserZoom co-CEO Alfonso de la Nuez (pictured) comments: 'Today's emphasis on agile development demands that gathering insights be completed at scale and speed. This is exactly where UserZoom and Validately deliver the most value. Validately offers an elegant solution for quick and easy user testing, as well as collaboration and insights reporting capabilities that enable the democratization of research across the organization'.
