Gartner Acquires Research and Advisory Firm TOPO

IT sector consulting firm Gartner has acquired US research and advisory provider TOPO. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Redwood City, CA-based TOPO analyzes the patterns, behavior, and plays that drive 'exceptional revenue growth' at the world's fastest growing companies. This data informs everything the company does for its customers. Following the takeover, TOPO will continue to operate separately, but will use Gartner's resources and experience to expand its focus of helping companies grow faster. Leadership at TOPO will remain in place.

In a blog statement, TOPO co-founder Craig Rosenberg (pictured) said: 'With our mission to help sales and marketing organizations grow revenue faster, we are excited to share that TOPO has agreed to be acquired by Gartner, the world's leading research and advisory company. We strongly believe this is great news for our clients, our employees and our long-term future.'
