In the US, television data and audience analytics company Samba TV has acquired data integration platform Wove for an undisclosed sum.Led by early LiveRamp employees Eddie Siegel (pictured), Armaan Sarkar and Chris Taylor, Wove's technology has historically been used by advertisers to activate first-party audiences across e-mail and social media campaigns. Samba says Wove's platform will strengthen its own advanced data onboarding and activation capabilities, enabling advertisers to apply first-party data to targeted connected TV and cross-screen advertising.
Wove CEO and co-founder Siegel will now serve as VP of Product Engineering at Samba TV. This is Samba's third acquisition in the past year, following Screen6 and Axwave. Ashwin Navin, founder and CEO of Samba TV, comments: 'Wove fits seamlessly alongside our other recent acquisitions, helping us shape the future of connected TV with first-party data'.
