Schlesinger Buys Focus Pointe Global

Data collection and research services company Schlesinger Group has acquired qual data collection provider Focus Pointe Global (FPG), which has seventeen focus group facilities located throughout the US. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

FPG, which was founded in 1988, boasts field capabilities in 'all' US cities, and its proprietary FPG Qual-Panel has 1.6 million members. Specialities include consumer, clinical and jury research.

For Schlesinger Group, the acquisition offers new markets in the Midwest; Kansas City, Columbus, and Minneapolis; while for FPG clients, additional markets now include Houston, Baltimore, and Orlando along with eight cities in Europe. Laura Livers, CEO of Focus Pointe Global, says this expansion of the company's capabilities into Europe and wider global reach is a big win for clients.
