Senior Hires for The NPD Group

Retail data firm The NPD Group has appointed Darren Person as Global Chief Information Officer, and Robert Taylor as SVP, Enterprise Systems.

Darren PersonPerson (pictured) joined the firm earlier this year as Chief Data Strategy Officer with twenty years' experience, including roles at information and analytics company RELX Group; CBS Television Stations where he was CTO; and Lifetime Entertainment, Adecco and USA Networks. Now, as head of the NPD Technology Group, encompassing the company's operations and technology organizations, he will lead development of NPD's next generation platform.

CEO Karyn Schoenbart comments: 'Technology drives innovation, and the work being done under Darren's leadership will enable NPD to remain the leader in providing best-in-class data in a rapidly changing world'.

Taylor will oversee all aspects of the company's computing infrastructure including platforms, networking, storage, data center and service desk teams. He also brings more than two decades of experience, and has managed critical infrastructures for companies including A&E Networks, Oxygen Media, AppNexus and Northwell Health. Most recently he was Head of Engineering for insurance firm MassMutual, leading a consumer platform modernization and digital transformation project. He will report to Person, who comments: 'NPD's business is built on information, making it as critical as ever that as we have a skillful and strategic leader with a proven track record at the helm of our enterprise systems'.
