AnswerLab Expands UX Research Capabilities to India

US-headquartered user experience (UX) specialist AnswerLab has launched its first international team in Gurgaon, India, from where it will offer ethnographic insights and design research to clients across the region.

Founded a decade ago by Amy Buckner Chowdhry (pictured), AnswerLab offers a 'human-centered' design process to help brands throughout the product launch process. Using a range of techniques, methodologies, and best practices to support every stage of the product development lifecycle, the firm's UX research is designed to help clients understand what people see, do, think, and feel when using web sites, mobile apps, voice interfaces, AR/VR, wearables, and other digital products.

At the new site in India, the firm has already recruited a team with field research and lab-based research capabilities. Buckner Chowdhry comments: 'We often see a significant gap between what companies assume people want and what they actually need. This knowledge gap is even greater between the west and the emerging markets in India'.
