Forethought Australia Names New CEO

Diane Shelton has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of marketing advisory, insights and analytics firm Forethought Australia; replacing founder Ken Roberts who will move into the Executive Chairman role, while continuing as President of Forethought USA.

Diane SheltonMelbourne-based Forethought uses quant methods underpinned by advanced analytics and qual techniques, to model consumers' implicit, discrete emotions as opposed to the rational drivers of their brand choice. The firm's approach draws from psychology (cognitive, emotional and societal) and micro-economic theory, supported by neuroscience techniques.

Shelton (pictured) joined in 2018 as General Manager of Consulting, following senior executive roles in strategy and insights at Telstra, Coles, NBN and South Eastern Grocers in Florida. She also served as Country Manager and Business Unit Lead with Ipsos in Greater China.

In a statement, the company said: 'This appointment is a full-circle moment, as together Diane and Ken commenced their careers in strategy, insights and analytics 27 years ago. And whilst pursuing their careers in marketing, both have reinvested in the industry as academics at Melbourne Business School'.
