ESOMAR Joins MrWeb for Global MR Jobs Alliance

March 24 2020

Global association ESOMAR is teaming up with MrWeb and its existing partner Women In Research to give data and insights professionals access to the world's largest specialist index of job opportunities, with new packages and offers also launched.

The new ESOMAR job search pageThe job board, running for 21 years and with more than 150,000 market research and analytics opportunities posted in that time, will now be promoted to ESOMAR's members and accessible / searchable via a branded interface on the association's web site. Research firms wishing to advertise can take advantage of a new simpler and lower pricing structure, globally standardised; and can opt to have jobs pulled from their own web sites or other existing job sites for no extra cost, to minimise their own admin.

The index's audience of qualified and experienced research jobseekers will now include MrWeb's c.50,000 monthly site visitors, 6,600 registered candidates and 15,000 DRNO news email subscribers; ESOMAR's community of 45,000 professionals globally and 120,000+ readers of Research World and other publications; and WIRe's more than 10,000 members worldwide. Already with a strong presence in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, the job board will now extend its reach and enhance its profile in these regions and boost interest in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

Recent years have seen the rise of LinkedIn and generalist job boards / CV databases, but candidates often find these offerings poorly targeted and time-consuming - with little understanding of how to categorise MR and associated vacancies - and they can also be expensive and restrictive for advertisers. The new alliance combines the broad reach and promotional power of the three organisations with the candidate-focused, tailored approach used for the MrWeb board from the word Go, and will ensure the industry offers a robust, specialist, reasonably-priced alternative.

ESOMAR Director General Finn Raben comments, 'We are thrilled to start this partnership and provide our community with an optimized, globally recognized, state-of-the art job board platform thanks to MrWeb. Aligned with ESOMAR's mission for facilitating and advocating growth for the data, research and insights profession globally, we hope this will further encourage the recruitment and development of top talent in our industry. Furthermore, we are excited to bring back this service to our members and support their business and community growth'.

MrWeb's Nick Thomas says ESOMAR's broad global coverage and reputation for quality add up to an exciting opportunity to expand and promote the index. 'There's only one really global association for the sector, and despite having established MrWeb and DRNO as international brands with a strong presence in four continents, we anticipate a massive boost to the profile of the job board worldwide from this alliance. The partnership with WIRe has been working well for some time, and we're delighted to be teaming up with another world-beating organisation, as well as providing ESOMAR with another great offering to complement its wide range of member services.

'In the short term, with the world economy in the grip of Covid-19, some firms have frozen their recruitment so the board will not be packed to start with, but it will serve an important role in highlighting the opportunities that are out there, of which there are a good number. We hope it will also help companies think positive, and by saving them costs and admin even allow them to promote a few positions they might otherwise have put on hold'.

In recognition of current uncertainty, companies booking that are normally 12-month packages of ads will be given 24 months to use their credits.
