Research Club to Host First Online Party

April 28 2020

Market research socialising and networking group the Research Club will be hosting its first online event, the Lockdown Party, next Monday 4th May from 6pm GMT until late. Everyone is welcome and there is no charge to participate.

Pre-lockdown at the Research Club networking party in MarchThe not-for-profit club, which was founded in 2004, organises open social events for anyone involved in the market / social research industry; providing an opportunity through which to make new contacts and develop business opportunities. It hosts up to twenty events a year, covering the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, and has a growing membership of 10,000 people worldwide.

For its first 'virtual' party, DJs have been recruited to entertain with new music and old, and those who sign up can view participants and chat with them on the Research Club's text wall. For those of a shy disposition, the option to just observe will be fine too. While there is no charge to join next Monday evening's event, the club's organisers say that those who would like to make a donation to show their support for the UK's National Health Service (NHS) can do so at: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/trc1 .

Research Club Partner Jonathan Wheeler explains: 'We are really excited about this new online event. We're having a great response with people registering from LA to Shanghai, and it should be a great night of music, video share and chat. We recognise the need for human contact in these difficult times and we hope this will enable the MR community to come together for a fun and relaxing evening. Grab a drink, a snack, get ready to chat and have a boogie!'
