In the US, advertising services and software company Mediaocean is to acquire multi-screen data science and marketing technology company 4C Insights for an undisclosed sum.
With headquarters in Chicago, 4C Insights offers a self-service intelligence platform that collects public social media data and applies proprietary data science algorithms to determine the relationships between people and brands. Its 'Scope by 4C' service offers a platform for marketing across linear and connected television, as well as digital commerce and social media. The firm currently has staff in fifteen locations across the US, UK, Netherlands, Hong Kong, India, Singapore and the Philippines.
According to Mediaocean, the deal will add intelligence and optimization to its own system for omnichannel advertising. Alok Choudhary (pictured), Chairman, Chief Scientist and co-founder of 4C, comments: 'When we started the company in 2011, our goal was to harness the power of data science and AI to help brands reach their goals. As we integrate our intelligence into Mediaocean's system of record, we will revolutionize the marketing landscape'.
