Sitecore Names New CEO

September 4 2020

Digital experience management software firm Sitecore has appointed Steve Tzikakis as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Mark Frost, who will continue as an advisor to the business. Tzikakis will be based in the firm's London office.

Steve TzikakisSitecore delivers a digital Experience Platform which manages content, supplies contextual intelligence and automates ad targeting for a range of big brand clients. A year ago, the online press reported the company had laid off around 70 employees, c.5% of its workforce, possibly in anticipation of an acquisition; but as yet it remains owned by Swedish private equity investor EQT, which bought control in April 2016.

Tzikakis (pictured) joins after thirteen years at business software giant SAP, the last five as President of its South Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. Earlier, he served as SVP and GM Southern Europe, SVP EMEA Strategic Customers; MD Russia; and Sales Director SEME. He previously spent more than seven years at business cloud software company Infor as Regional VP.

Board Chairman Jonas Persson comments: 'Sitecore is now entering a new chapter in its growth journey and Steve's experience leading teams to achieve aggressive growth aligns perfectly with our goals for Sitecore. He is passionate about helping customers drive digital transformation and brings a customer-first mindset to the heart of the business, making him the ideal choice to be the new CEO'.
