Acquisition and Upgrades for UserTesting

October 16 2020

Customer insights platform UserTesting has announced the acquisition of the technology assets of usabiliTEST, a provider of information architecture testing solutions; alongside product innovations promising to speed up clients' 'discovery of the moments that matter'.

Andy MacMillanOnce integrated, UserTesting says usabiliTEST's technology will give customers new ways to test and get 'human insights' into the information architecture of their digital properties. Meanwhile the new product features will help users quickly identify and share critical insight to help build customer empathy, via visual summaries aggregating paths from multiple participant sessions; share insights around the company more easily via editable reports; allow users to test their designs and prototypes directly from Adobe XD via he 'Quick Answer' plugin; and get a richer view of customer experiences via a new 'Participant View' feature including facial expression monitoring, video clips and highlight reels.

San Francisco-based UserTesting raised $100m in new funding in March this year, at the same time acquiring Norway-based multilingual experience testing specialist Teston.

CEO Andy MacMillan (pictured) says of the latest announcements: 'We continue to expand the capabilities of our platform in ways that help companies get the customer feedback they need across all experiences so that they can act quickly and make decisions with confidence'.
