More Capital for Funding and Analytics Firm Wayflyer

October 20 2020

London and New York-based eCommerce financing and marketing analytics platform Wayflyer has raised $10.2m (£7.8m) in a seed capital round of investment, which it will use to fund up to one thousand more eCommerce stores, while further developing its proprietary technology.

Aidan CorbettWayflyer provides eligible eCommerce stores with 'up to $5m' to secure advertising space and inventory. In addition, its platform analyses marketing performance on a daily basis, to show eCommerce retailers how to maximise the potential of their online marketing. Users can analyse customer behaviour and deliver tailored services at any stage of the purchase journey. The firm says its mix of funding and AI-driven marketing insights allow founders to take control of their businesses and succeed even in the infancy stages of their brand.

New funding has been led by QED Investors, with participation from Middlegame Ventures and co-investors Speedinvest, FGFE and others. Wayflyer is aiming to expand its customer base in the US, the UK and Ireland, while strengthening its presence in Australia and Canada. Additionally, a portion of the new capital will be used to improve the company's analytics and marketing insights software, to help clients capitalize on unseen marketing opportunities.

Aidan Corbett (pictured), Wayflyer's CEO and co-founder, comments: 'Wayflyer's purpose is to help eliminate the road blocks for eCommerce stores on their path to growth. With this funding, we can expand our global footprint to support even more start-ups to grow their businesses and empower them to market more effectively'.
