iClick Buys Social Media Insight Specialist CMRS

China-based online marketing technology and enterprise data solutions provider iClick has acquired consulting group CMRS, which specialises in social media insight and monitoring, for an undisclosed sum.

Mark Chan and Jian 'TJ' TangBased in Hong Kong, CMRS provides support for data-driven consumer journey management, cross-channel marketing automation, and inbound marketing services. Its proprietary technology aggregates data from multiple sources to help companies provide improved customer relationship management (CRM) services; and its main offerings include social media insight and monitoring, content management, and visual content creation.

iClick says the addition of CMRS's marketing automation capabilities will enhance its product offerings - particularly for cross-border customers marketing into China. Mark Chan (pictured left), Group CEO and founder of CMRS, says the combination will enrich iClick's offering across consumer experience management and social media commerce platforms.

Jian 'TJ' Tang (pictured right), CEO and co-founder of iClick, adds: 'By tapping into CMRS's strengths in CRM, social media, and cross-channel marketing automation, iClick will be able to expand the scope and effectiveness of our fast-growing integrated enterprise and marketing solutions offerings.
