Infotools Adds 'Significant Difference' Feature

February 19 2021

MR analysis and reporting solutions provider Infotools has enhanced its cloud-based Harmoni survey analysis platform with a feature flagging up 'statistically significant differences'.

Geoff LoweAuckland, New Zealand-based Infotools, which also has offices in the US, Europe and South Africa, helps researchers process, analyze, visualize and share data. The firm's Harmoni platform brings together clients' data sources in one usable set, to be organized and then analysed. In addition, Harmoni can be used to calculate data's statistical significance and allow users to hide data points that aren't relevant or too low to report.

The new Multi-Reference Significant Difference (MRSD) feature enables calculations to be performed against single or multiple reference groups, allowing researchers to measure probability and confidence levels. MRSD highlights patterns in data to help visualize differences among variables, and addresses issues relating to respondent samples approximating the populations they represent, allowing researchers to investigate patterns among groups and understand key variables in context.

Users can calculate statistical differences against one or more reference groups, with results indicated with visual markers and patterns highlighted. Company Director Geoff Lowe (pictured) states: 'Our new MRSD feature quickly draws the user's attention to differences and similarities in the data for greater understanding of the story that data is telling'.
