In Canada, marketing and business communications solutions provider DATA Communications Management (DCM) has announced that company President Michael Coté has left the company and been replaced by CEO Gregory Cochrane in the role of President and CEO.
DCM combines customer insights with products, technology and services to determine which channels are right for clients, manage multimedia campaigns, deploy location specific and 1:1 marketing, and execute custom loyalty programs. In 2018, the company acquired retail experience company The Perennial Group, whose services included brand strategy, consumer insights and retail communications.
Coté joined DCM in 2017 as SVP, Corporate Development and Strategy, before moving up to SVP, Chief Commercial Officer, and then President with responsibility for day-to-day operations. Prior to this, he spent seventeen years at freight company Purolator, latterly serving as SVP, Chief Commercial Officer. His next career move has not yet been disclosed.
Cochrane (pictured) takes over the President role after more than four years with the company, and a career which has included serving as a Partner at Mosaic, and CEO and Chairman of Mariposa, where he worked for sixteen years, having begun his career in product management roles at S.C. Johnson & Son. Commenting on the news, Cochrane said: 'Over the past three and a half years, Mike has been a valued contributor to the business, helping to transform our sales force and sales culture, and has helped navigate us through our ERP remediation efforts and the impact of the COVID pandemic on our business. We thank him for his contributions during his time with DCM and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.'
