New Name, Platform and Chairman for Insights People

April 6 2021

UK-based kids, parents and family panels firm The Insights People has been renamed The Insights Family, as it launches a new version of its data portal. The firm has also appointed former IPG SVP Simon White as Chairman.

Simon WhiteThe company surveys more than 362,000 kids and 176,000 parents across seventeen countries each year, providing real-time data on attitudes, behaviour and consumption patterns. The latest version of its insights platform - Portal 4.0 - includes eleven new features, enabling brands to view, filter, interrogate and analyse data.

The firm has also launched a new machine learning-based tool called 'Persona Perspectives', to unlock what it describes as previously unseen insights into a brand's audience and fanbase. Portal 4.0 includes new Trend Tracker and Country Context Tool data dashboards and offers the ability to track API data from third-party sources such as YouTube and TikTok. There are also 'On-Track' reports written by the company's team of researchers, and a previously announced media planning tool called Media Mix Compass, which the firm claims gives a 360 degree view of kids' media consumption.

White (pictured) joins the company's Board after serving as SVP and UK MD at IPG-owned Momentum Worldwide, and earlier having held senior positions at the FIFA World Cup, Microsoft, AEG, Olympic Games and Unilever. In a statement, White said: 'The Insights Family is a true British success story and one that is rapidly fulfilling its global potential. I'm thrilled to have the chance to help play my part on this exciting journey'.
