Communities Partnership for Tribes and Syno

April 30 2021

Community specialists Tribes Research and Syno International have agreed a partnership whereby Tribes will migrate all its communities to Syno's platform. The latter includes a survey tool, data lake and research automation products.

Jokke Nurminen and Jo WinningUK-based Tribes is an online insight agency helping clients to engage with and understand their customers. The company builds and manages communities and community panels, and also offers a fully bespoke range of functionality within each community, customised to each client's requirements. Panel and survey data collection company Syno International is headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania and offers a consumer Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) platform for clients including market research agencies, management consultancies, media agencies, brands and publishers.

The partnership allows Tribes to collect data through different sources and third parties, and match this back to a single, unique ID: for example data gathered from a client's community can be matched to their broader customer base. For Syno, the deal means it can offer its clients Tribe's range of services, including community moderation and advice on their set-up and management.

Syno CEO Jokke Nurminen says he looks forward to combining Tribes' expertise in managing online communities with his firm's platform and panel management offering. Jo Winning, co-founder of Tribes, adds: 'The agreement further expands Tribes community and data management capabilities. We also look forward to adding a range of new products to our portfolio'.
