Giacobbe to Lead Schlesinger's Global Panel Strategy

Former GutCheck ops leader Joe Giacobbe has joined international data and research services provider Schlesinger Group as SVP, Global Panels, leading its panel strategy and growth. He is based in Toronto, Canada.

Giacobbe (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' experience of respondent sourcing, panel growth and operations, product innovation and strategic consulting. Most recently, he ran management consultancy Giacobbe & Giacobbe, before which he worked at online community specialist GutCheck as VP of Research Operations, leading a team of researchers, survey programmers and respondent acquisition experts. Earlier he oversaw panels, operations and product development in various roles at WPP-owned Lightspeed Research; and before this he was EVP, Global Panels & Operations at Vision Critical, SVP, Ipsos Interactive North America, and Director, Business Systems at NPD Group.

In his new role, Giacobbe is tasked with harnessing the potential of Schlesinger's panel and access capabilities, focusing on custom online communities, and formalizing company initiatives to support diversity, equity and inclusion in panel development and sampling.
