Epsilon CEO Bryan Kennedy to Retire

August 18 2021

Bryan Kennedy, CEO of US data analytics company Epsilon, is retiring at the end of 2021 and has now moved into an advisory post. John Giuliani, former CEO of personalized digital marketing specialist Conversant, has replaced Kennedy in the role of Executive Chairman.

Bryan Kennedy and John GiulianiPublicis-owned Epsilon's onboarding offer includes first-party data, enriching it with the company's own proprietary data assets, unique ID customer profiling, and campaign activation. In May, Epsilon became the first company to receive Media Rating Council (MRC) accreditation for a service measuring the connection between a consumer event - such as a purchase - and a digital ad served.

Kennedy joined Epsilon in 1996 as Chief Technology Officer, before becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2001, and then moving into the CEO position more than twelve years ago. Kennedy is now an executive strategic advisor, providing guidance and ensuring a smooth hand-over to Giuliani, who previously spent more than eight years at Conversant (acquired by former Epsilon owner Alliance Data in 2014).

Giuliani will now work directly with Ric Elert, who has expanded his current role as President and COO of Epsilon. Both Giuliani and Elert will work closely with Arthur Sadoun, CEO of Publicis Groupe, who comments: 'I would like to sincerely thank Bryan for his outstanding leadership of Epsilon and for his partnership with the Publicis management team over the last two years. With Ric, he has been a key driving force behind the successful integration of Epsilon into Publicis. And I'd like to welcome John back to Epsilon. He and Ric have already proven that they know what it takes to build a successful business together, to drive sustainable growth in a digital world.'
