Smartly.io Launches Ad Ranking Insights

September 3 2021

Social media ad automation platform Smartly.io has launched a capability called Ad Ranking within its insights offering, enabling advertisers to identify both top and bottom-performing ads, with a visual analysis to help inform future creative direction and optimize performance.

Kristo OvaskaWith seventeen offices around the world, Smartly.io combines creative production and ad buying automation to help brands scale and understand their results on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Snapchat. The new Ad Ranking feature enables advertisers to test creative variations and identify what's working and what's not. Using visual insights to inform data-driven creative planning, Ad Ranking users can choose a ranking metric and additional filters - such as bid goal and creative type - to uncover which ads are contributing to their business goals.

The package then allows incremental revenue to be measured with statistical significance built-in, and users can test the performance of almost any Facebook property by running split, lift and multi-cell lift tests. In addition, statistical significance estimates can determine how much test budget is needed to get 'meaningful results' and then be used to compare performance with any KPI.

Commenting on the launch, Kristo Ovaska (pictured), CEO and co-founder, said: 'Advertisers need to bridge the gap between creative, media and data to test what's resonating across all buyer journey touchpoints. This is critical for optimizing both in-flight and future ad campaigns in a seamless, agile and automated way - freeing up marketing teams for more creativity and ideation to build trusted connections with their consumers'.
