Funds for Gaming Ad Tech Firm Venatus

London-based gaming sector ad technology and targeting platform Venatus has received an undisclosed amount of funding from private equity investor Livingbridge. The money will be used to fuel growth in the US and for expansion to new geographies.

Rob Gay and Matt CannonCo-founded in 2010 by CEO Rob Gay and COO Matt Cannon, Venatus connects advertisers and their agencies with video gaming content and community web site owners / publishers, giving the former access to hard-to-reach global gaming and entertainment audiences. The firm, which also has offices in New York, Los Angeles, Sydney and Seoul, estimates its market to be worth around £1 billion across the UK and US, with gamers representing a large segment for advertisers.

Livingbridge's investment will also be used to expand Venatus' proprietary technology.
