Privacy Firm TripleBlind Secures $24m

October 18 2021

Private data sharing company TripleBlind has received $24m in an oversubscribed Series A funding, as interest in the company's innovative system spreads beyond its original focus, the medical sector.

Riddhiman DasThe round, led by General Catalyst and Mayo Clinic, follows a seed round which raised $8.2m in March.

TripleBlind's solution allows organisations to share and collaborate with data, however private and sensitive, without its ever being decrypted or leaving their firewall - allowing them to meet regulatory standards including HIPAA, GDPR and US laws such as California's CCPA. TripleBlind does not host or access the data to which its systems provide this encrypted access.

In addition to General Catalyst and Mayo Clinic, Series A round participants include AVG Basecamp Fund, Accenture Ventures, Clocktower Technology Ventures, Dolby Family Ventures, Flyover Capital, KCRise Fund, NextGen Venture Partners, and Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health.

'When we launched last November, the primary interest in TripleBlind's solution was among healthcare organizations', says co-founder and CEO Riddhiman Das (pictured), 'to more effectively share data while enforcing HIPAA and GDPR. Today, interest has grown exponentially and now includes leaders in financial services, media and telecommunications, energy and many other industries where sharing data assets is critical to sustained, long-term growth'.
