ThinkAnalytics Hires for New EMEA/AP CEO Role

In the UK, personalized content and viewer insights provider ThinkAnalytics has hired Samuel Sweet for the newly created role of Chief Executive Officer of EMEA and AP.

Headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland and with offices in Los Angeles, Singapore and Pune (India), ThinkAnalytics offers a Personalized Images content recommendations algorithm - built on advanced AI techniques and data science to bring together intelligent search with media content recommendations. In 2001, Chairman Eddie Young, along with the firm's management team, acquired the company from its Nasdaq-listed parent Gentia, and earlier this year ThinkAnalytics partnered with Nielsen's entertainment metadata specialist Gracenote, to launch a solution through which TV providers can improve image-based personalized video search and recommendations.

Sweet (pictured) joins from energy tech firm Enel X, where he served as Head of Sales, e-Industries UK & Ireland; and before this was SVP Sales, EMEA & APAC at DVR and TV tech and audience insights provider TiVo. In this latter role he led the business outside of North America, spearheaded the launch of TiVo voice services in APAC and set up the company's monetization and advertising business development function. Earlier, he managed the largest account in the Cisco Service Provider Video Software Solutions (SPVSS) business, following Cisco's acquisition of NDS.

At ThinkAnalytics, Samuel will join the company's Board, reporting directly to Young, who comments: 'We have known Samuel for many years, since working with him as a partner at NDS and Cisco, and we have always respected his experience and industry knowledge.
